Cycle to Lake Junaluska 2015 – Registration opens Jan. 31
The 2nd Annual Cycle to Lake Junaluska (C2LJ) will take place June 14-16, 2015. This is a 3-day fully supported bicycle ride from Hickory to Lake Junaluska of 160 miles. This year’s route is outstanding and our overnight hosts will be providing great food & activities each evening. It includes a commemorative t-shirt, meals, rest areas with snacks (every 15 miles), indoor camping with showers, luggage transport, support vans, and an on-site bike mechanic. Riders from any level are welcome.
C2LJ was founded in 2014 as a way to promote health, fellowship, and to support various ministries in our conference. Funds raised this year will go toward the campus ministries of the Western NC Conference This year C2LJ will start on Sunday afternoon, June 14 in Hickory, NC at St. Luke’s UMC with overnight stops at two host churches in Casar and Black Mountain. The cost of the event is $150 for adults and $100 for students. Donations may also be given online in support, honor or memory of persons, or to the campus ministries of the WNCC.
Registration opens on January 31 and is limited to 40 participants on a first come, first serve basis. Contact Doug Miller at DMiller2@wnccumc.net if you have specific questions. Otherwise, go to www.C2LJ.org for more detailed information and to sign up.
